EMPLOYER INCENTIVES

The Australian apprenticeships incentives program provides a number of incentives to assist employers who take on an Australian Apprentices, particularly where the Apprenticeship is in a trade experiencing a skills shortage.

A regional employer has reported the scenario they have been left in due to their apprentice having to do a 570km round trip for a training block release. The approximate  costs to the company for each block release are:
